Diamniadio was developed as a comprehensive city concept integrating housing, mixed-use programmes and public infrastructure. The planning approach focused on reducing transport demand through mixed functions, strengthening social cohesion through diverse housing typologies, and creating a robust framework for long-term growth.

The concept integrated core urban systems and services (mobility logic, public spaces, utilities and social infrastructure), with an emphasis on operational feasibility and scalable implementation.
